Bridgestone, the world’s number one tyre and rubber company, has upgraded its motorcycle line-up with the launch of Battlax Sport Touring T31: a combination of high-level safety and performance to give riders full confidence in all conditions.
At the heart of the new Battlax Sport Touring T31 concept is the enhanced wet grip and handling while maximising contact feel, so that riders feel safe and in control, free to enjoy the thrill of every ride.
The New Renault Mégane R.S. has been updated with state-of-the-art technology for greater agility, efficiency and driving enjoyment. These innovations still rely on the right tyres which is why Bridgestone engineered every aspect of the Potenza S001 to match the new design of the iconic French hot hatch.
A tailored approach was a must for the New Renault Mégane R.S. ‘This is a very different vehicle,’ explains Laurent Hurgon, Renault’s development driver for the new model. ‘It has a more powerful engine and the suspension as well as the four-wheel-steering system have been recreated. Bridgestone engineered the Potenza S001 tyres to respond to this and maximise the benefits of these innovations.’
Audi has selected the Turanza T005, as the premium touring tyre of choice for the new Audi A7 Sportback. The AO (Audi Original) marked tyre combines a high-silica compound—that incorporates Bridgestone’s own NanoPro-Tech™ polymer—with targeted tread design, offering excellent grip in the wet, while also maximising the lifespan of the tyre and fuel efficiency.
New fitment marks the return to OE supply with Porsche
• Two sizes of Dueler H/P to be fitted to the new Porsche Cayenne
• Dueler H/P Sport was fully designed and developed at the Bridgestone European Technical Centre
• Mixed size tyres offer improved stability and driving dynamics
Bridgestone has been selected by Porsche to be a supplier of tyres for the third generation Porsche Cayenne. The Dueler H/P Sport which is being fitted with both 191 and 20 inch2 wheels was fully developed at the Bridgestone European Technical Centre in Rome. The tyres will be produced at the Bridgestone plant in Poznan, Poland.
This is a notable return for Bridgestone as an original equipment fitment on Porsche. The new Porsche Cayenne builds on 15 years of success and the new model has already undergone a complex and challenging series of examinations. While this is an SUV, it features a typical sports car feature with the new mixed size tyres, which are now on wheels of at least 19 inches. The mixed tyres improve stability and driving dynamics on bends. The original equipment Bridgestone tyres will be marked with N0 on the side wall.
Christophe De Valroger, Vice President, OE Europe said: “We are very proud to have been selected as a supplier for this iconic vehicle. Completing this development for one of the most demanding worldwide auto manufacturers is for us a great recognition. This is a fantastic illustration of the quality of our products, our leadership in tyre technologies, and the strength of our partnership with Porsche.”
